This week has been really sweet for me. Our ward primary program is coming up and I want Landon to feel confident and comfortable when the day comes. A member of the primary presidency dropped off a cd of the music for the program so the kids can practice the songs on their own. We have been listening to the music non stop in our car all week, and I've loved it so much! I love hearing Landon singing to the words of these sweet songs (and chloe trying - but it always turns into let it go, ha!) It's pretty remarkable how children can so sweetly and easily can bring the spirit. It reminds me how tender their little spirits are and they really do already have a testimony! It's our job as parents to help them find their testimony and in so doing, it strengthens our own. I feel so blessed to have my family, and I know that Heavenly Father rejoices in even the smallest of victories - like listening to a primary cd in the car. There's one song we learned this year in primary called "The Family is of God." It's basically The Family: A proclamation to the World in the form of a children's song. I know that God created families for us to help each other ultimately return to Him, and by default experiencing a fullness of joy. What a sweet thing.

Our Father has a family. It’s me!
It’s you, all others too: we are His children.
He sent each one of us to earth, through birth,
To live and learn here in families.
A father’s place is to preside, provide,
To love and teach the gospel to his children.
A father leads in family prayer to share
Their love for Father in Heaven.
A mother’s purpose is to care, prepare,
To nurture and to strengthen all her children.
She teaches children to obey, to pray,
To love and serve in the family.
I’ll love and serve my family and be
A good example to each fam’ly member.
And when I am a mom or dad, so glad,
I’ll help my family remember:
God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be—
This is how He shares His love, for the family is of God.
I love your sweet family. I have been thinking of the words of this song, too. They are powerful!
